Film
Lab
Contact ACME for upcoming start dates.
Actors learn by doing. And the best way
to learn how to act on-camera is to play a role in a fully-produced film.
ACME
takes this idea one step further with our one-of-a-kind Film Lab.
Here's
how the Film Lab works: the actors meet with their ACME
instructor twice a week for three months, developing original characters
and collaborating on a story. The director writes a screenplay using these
characters. The scenes are rehearsed. At the end of the three months,
the actors, their director, and a professional crew shoot the film over
three or four days. Once the Lab is completed, the film is edited and
premieres in New York.

Feel
like you've had enough of doing scene work in acting classes? Itching
to actually create a role and play in front of an audience? The Theater
Lab may be for you.
This one-of-a-kind
opportunity allows actors to create a character, develop a play, rehearse
and then perform their role for an audience. And this is no workshop or
student production -- the Theater Lab is a fully-produced, professionally-designed
production that is open for review.
